Your home is a substantial investment, and at JPG Roofing & Restoration, we help you save one of its most essential parts - the roof. We have extensive experience dealing with all types of roofing issues and manage projects of all sizes. We have gained a reputation throughout the community for our high-quality work.
Your roof is one of the hallmarks of your safety and comfort. It protects you from external forces and allows you to stay relaxed all year round. But just because it’s out of sight, it often goes out of mind. Most people don’t consider getting a roof inspection unless they’re getting a new house or selling a home. As per the National Roofing Contractors Associations (NRCA), homeowners should consider getting their roofs inspected every fall and spring. Doing so will help them maintain their structure and prevent damage.
Our skilled technicians at JPG Roofing & Restoration have experience and training in examining various roofs. We carefully inspect the unit, reporting any weakness before compiling a report and creating customized solutions.
Some things we look for during roof inspections include:
- Attic – We’ll check the intake ducts for any blockage and ensure the roof isn’t sagging.
- Flashing – We’ll review to ensure your roof has proper flashing to prevent leaks.
- Deterioration – We’ll examine for signs of damage on the top. You’ll want to make sure those are fixed - from loose shingles to weak spots.
- Rot & Mold – Our JPG Roofing & Restoration residential roofing experts double-check to ensure there’s no presence of rot or mold in your roof.
Shingle Roof Replacements & Installations:
We specialize in Shingle Roof Replacements and Installations. Choosing the right shingles is the first critical step to a beautiful and strong roof. The price is also interlinked to the type of roofing material, its warranty and features. Furthermore, the quality of material and workmanship significantly affect the performance as well as the durability of your roofing. Therefore, it is important to select a reliable and experienced roofing company.
Here Is What You Should Know About Selecting Shingle Roofs:
- Over the past several years, fiberglass shingles have replaced organic shingles.
- These shingles that are inorganic in nature are saturated in asphalt with a ceramic granular coating.
- The price varies depending on whether you want architectural, builder-grade or premium shingles.
- Commonly used materials for sloped roof shingle applications include asphalt, cedar shingles and shakes, slate tile, ceramic or concrete tile and metal.
A dependable warranty works as a protective shield against manufacturing and installation defects.
Please find out:
- Our Roof Replacement has a 10 year workmanship warranty
- Materials are backed by a limited lifetime warranty by the manufacturer
- Our Roof Repair services are backed by 2 year warranty
- All our warranties are transferable to proceeding homeowners for each respective limited times
(Warranty excludes acts of nature such as: torrential rains, lightning, gale force winds, tornadoes, hailstorms, rain in excess of two inches per hour, and excessive buildup of leaves and/or debris or foreign objects. Labor warranty also excludes damage to roofs caused by settlement of the home and failure or cracking of roof deck that was not installed by us. JPG Roofing and Restoration also recommends that you pay adequate attention to ventilation and decking. Shingle warranties are considered void if (i) the roof does not have adequate ventilation to allow air movement through intakes and vents, (ii) too much condensation builds up in the roof because of flawed building methods and (c) due to damaged or warped decking.
Metal Roofing: Flat-panel or Striations
Flat panels are metal panel profiles that create a flush, seamless appearance. They utilize a concealed fastener system, so no hardware is visible after installation, making for a neat, uninterrupted finished product. They can range in size and form and be used as wall panels in interior and exterior settings. Flat panels give a crisp look that imitates a wood-plank appearance, bringing the longevity and durability that metal provides.
Striations are a sequence of ridges, ribs, or waves added to metal panels to reduce or minimize the look of oil canning. Striations are more practical at disguising oil canning compared to stiffening ribs. The groove pattern of striations has very little flat space on the panel for oil canning to even be noticeable. We suggest adding striations to Standing Seam and other flat panels to maintain them to look their finest. If your roof looks like it has waves, you may want to add striations.

What IS TPO roofing?
TPO stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin and is a type of single-ply roofing membrane. The membrane combines polypropylene (PP) and ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) polymers. Several proprietary components are included in this mixture to provide extra durability and resistance against harsh weather conditions. These include pigments, flame-retardants, UV absorbers and more. Reinforced TPO consists of membranes combined with a polyester fabric “scrim” between the plies.
TPO roofing is an excellent commercial or industrial roofing alternative because it is fully adhered or mechanically fastened in large rolls. Its long-lasting material is essentially waterproof and reflective of UV rays.
Advantages of TPO Roofing:
- Energy-efficient, “Cool Roof,” reflective material
- Lightweight, great for re-cover
- Installs quickly over a variety of substrates
- Tear-resistant and puncture-resistant
- Resistant to animal fat grease, vegetable oils, and some hydrocarbon oils
- Highly waterproof and virtually immune to ponding water in the non-seam areas
When purchasing a new roof assembly, several building owners and buyers ask what TPO roofing is. It is good to consider TPO roof membranes as a potential solution when replacing your roof system. No one membrane is suitable in all situations, so it is best to compare membrane options to your different conditions to choose the best solution.
When choosing a new roof system, selecting a quality experienced roofing contractor specializing in the type of system you are interested in installing on your building or structure is also essential. JPG Roofing & Restoration has years of experience when it comes to servicing roofs in the area. Our experienced installers are trained to install specific roof systems to manufacturer specifications. We offer several commercial roofing services, including maintenance, repair, inspection, replacement, and free estimates.
Modified Torch Down
What is a Torch Down Roof?
Torch down roofing, also known as “torch on” roofing, is called so because it needs an open-flame propane torch. A roofing professional uses a hand-held propane torch to heat the material and attach it to the surface. Once the layers get the right temperature, seams are melted together to create a waterproof seal.
There are many advantages to torch-down roofing. The first feature of any roof system is to keep water out of the building, and torch-down roofing has excellent water-resistant properties. Provided the membrane and insulation are installed per the manufacturer’s application guidelines, the flat surface of a torch down roof prevents water from accumulating and allows it to drain off.
Advantages of Torch-Down Roof
- The cap sheet on a torch-down roofing system has resistance to UV rays and reflectivity to keep the building cool and energy-efficient.
- Torch-down is a rubberized material; it allows for excellent expansion and contraction in the intense heat and cold a roof can tolerate.
- Its flexibility keeps roofs from cracking and makes it a very effective low slope or flat roofing material.
Since installation can be dangerous, it’s crucial to find the right roofing company to do the job. It’s easy to make a mistake while laying torch-on materials on a roof. Materials can be accidentally overheated and generate a fire that can fast spread throughout the dry, hot attic area. Ensure that the company doing your torch-down roof installation has the correct fire insurance in place and carries ticketed or certified flat roofers.
At JPG Roofing & Restoration, we carry all the necessary liability/fire insurance. We also have certified torch-on roof installers to ensure that you get a top-notch job. Call us today for your free, no-hassle quote!
